Amazing hikes. Amazing views. Totally touristy. Then again, how often will you find yourself at the most south-western point of the African Continent? So of course we did it. We definitely recommend the visit if you happen to be visiting your penguin friends at Boulders Beach. It’s at least a 34 minute (24km) drive on the Cape Peninsula. Hike is steep and winds can be extremely gusty. No rails to assist you so definitely use your caution when you go towards the top. Views are definitely worth it. A wildlife bonus is running into some ostriches! That was fun.
Another note: While there are beaches, we do not recommend it as a lounging or swimming beach. Rip currents are extremely strong.
